Education
Real Resources for Teachers and Support Staff
Larry has prioritized funding to deliver over $9,000 in salary increases for Georgia educators while working to lift the retirement earnings cap for long-serving bus drivers, cafeteria workers, and custodians. He also fought to place literacy coaches in every elementary school across Georgia, ensuring students receive the foundational reading support they need to succeed. Together, these initiatives help retain experienced teachers and support staff in Middle Georgia classrooms while ensuring students across our state have the literacy foundation they need to succeed.
Agriculture
Protecting the Farmers Who Feed Middle Georgia
Larry led the charge to pass a historic relief package for Georgia Farmers in the wake of Hurricane Helene. Championed legislation to keep farmers' crop protection tools available, and strengthened water metering laws to protect farmers' water rights. Larry also played an instrumental role in the creation of UGA Grand Farm in Perry, a partnership between the University of Georgia's College of Agricultural and Environmental Sciences and Grand Farm that serves as a working innovation farm dedicated to advancing precision agriculture research.
Rural Healthcare
Fighting to Keep our Rural Hospital Open
Larry is working to stabilize rural hospitals and improve access to quality healthcare no matter their zip code. Reducing the regulatory burdens to expand healthcare services and creating incentives to bring additional healthcare providers to small towns across the state.
